2005 gearbox swaps

hey guys,

i have a 2005 mazda bravo 2.5l turbo diesel 5 speed manual

i have heard of the 5th gear blowing on these gearboxes if you tow with them.

my gearbox is going really well at the moment but i would like to know what is out there to upgrade to.

is there any 6 speed gearbox out there in auto or manual?

i am finding that when cruising at 110Kmp/h my revs are at about 2800.
i would love that extra gear so that it cruises more nicely. i do love the low down gearing. makes it awesome for crawling.

what are my options?

I am not sure how much info we will have for you. The Rangers sold in your part of the world are quite different from the US ones that most of our members have. We just don't get to see or work on the power trains that the Aussie and Thai Rangers have, and so we don't know a lot about them.

I would try some place in the uk or south america area. Love to get my hands on a globel ranger but us and canada are not so lucky. Sorry mate
