I have a 2005 Mazda B-3000. It only has 47,000 miles on it. The rearend is making a noise. My dad and I took the cover off, and there is some slack in it. It's a 10 bolt, model #V 330 M, 10 884 H25. It is getting worse. Any suggestions?

Few ?'s....

Howling? Constantly or under acceleration?

By slack, you mean clunking when you turn one wheel and not the other?

Is it a locker?

Is the slop in the U-joint? U-joints mimic rearend trouble.....

Go to a junkyard. Pull another 7.5 or 8.8 with preferred gear ratio (or same as front if 4x4) and roll it under and bolt it up. GOOD to GO.
