2004 Roof replacement

I'm not going in to detail about what happened, all I'm going to say is ice is not my friend and it was a very light roll.

The roof is pushed down about 4" in the middle, but the pillers appear to be fine, the windshield cracked in the middle where the roof came down.
The doors are a little messed up at the top, but still open and close.

I found a roof off a 2008 thats already cut and ready to be picked up.
I've never seen how the roofs are replaced on the regular cab rangers, but I'm going to assume it shouldn't be too difficult.

I'm going to assume the back glass has to come out, the seats and most of the trim also have to come out.

I watched this video and learned quite a bit, but would like to know more about how to do it on a ranger.

Make sure you know where to get some doors. You might find that they don't close so well once the roof is fixed.

What do you mean?
I believe there is no structure damage done to the cab.

The rollover was very slow and I watched the window slowly crush down the little bit it did.

Sometimes the smallest bit of bend can be enough to mess up the doors. I doubt that you will have any issues, but I've seen enough of these that I just thought you should at least be aware that MAY be an issue.

google ranger prerunner roof replacement...its a red ranger, i believe might be a first or 2nd gen. he has a build thread somewhere and goes into detail of doing the same thing. maybe it will help u. im gonna try to find it for u

The window is broken from the mirror. The damage is minor.

doesnt look that bad, ive seen worts and they fix them, but replacing it would be the best option, cut and weld a good one, make sure its leveled and at the exact height, or you will have issues with the windshield

I would strip the interior , leaving it drivable , take it to a body shop and have them use the frame machine to straighten the cab and then use the roof you found to skin the roof.

I have a feeling your talking about my build thread. I just went ahead and did it, with no previous knowledge. It turned out O.K. but not good enough for window replacement or door alignment. I knew that it's a race truck and I wouldn't be installing a window because of class rules, but if I took a little more time I'm sure I could have got it correct. I rolled my truck and will have to replace the roof again so if any experienced people will chime in I'd appreciate it as well.

I used the doors from one cab with cut lines marked to transfer those cut lines from one cab to the next. I don't think you would be able to do the same. In your case I'd try making a cardboard template that had body lines marked on it from a known good truck to be able to transfer cut lines from the donor roof to your truck. Also I'd probably make the cut lines closer to the bottom or top of the window, not the middle like I did.
