My 03 tends to kinda herk and jerk on take off's. It's not extreme, but I'll give it moderate gas to take off and it seems like the trany has a delayed reaction and kicks into gear kind of rough in the first two gears. Is this common? In an old forum WVCAT mentioned the speed sensor can be goofy and have a similar effect. Anyone have any ideas?

yeah..

I have heard other people say the same thing. That could be. I wonder if an engin management chip could change that. I wonder if it may have something to do with the message that the engin is sending to the tranny.

Does it do it when you come to a stop also?

Nope

It only does it when I take off. Once it hits about 1300 rpm or so, depending on if it's worm or not.

My truck did this. their is actually a service bulletin at your local shop to fix this

Hmmm... What was it with your rig? How did you fix it? My local shop filled me full of sh*t when I asked them about it.
