Hey guys, good morning, everyone my name is Silva, I have a Ford Ranger 3.0xlt. I love the thing, I put a new engine already junk one but I worked on it, recently yesterday I changed the heads gasket of the truck, new pushrods and everything, truck start and run flawless for 1h and half. I was doing some errands yesterday right after I did the head gasket and I give a lil pull on the truck to see if anything would stress out, well it did, truck stutter and shut off. After that the truck wants to start and shut off righ the way. I hear three chimes when I put the key in and a deep one at the end that I never heard before, like a ding ding ding and then bong kinda thing. I only have a video of my currently issue with the truck, I hear the fuel pump whinning everytime I turn the key.

Happens all the time. A mod can move it... Should be in the 3.0 section I guess. @snoranger @Uncle Gump

Moved...

I would start by verifying fuel pressure...

Im pretty positive that I got fuel pressure, my only concern it that was I messed around with the synchronizer before she start. She started good flawless, just after and hour it died, could that be the issue? Also, i put the truck in tdc and slide the synchronizer in, I dont much about synchroneizers. I dont know im at lost here.

Pretty positive isn't verified.
You could try turning the key to on, NOT start, 4-5 times. Each time the pump comes on it supplies 10 psi.
You can probably borrow a fuel pressure gauge from a auto parts place with a returnable deposit. I think your engine requires 60psi.

I also think I messed up the synchronizer installation aswell, my dumb ass removed it turn it over and then I put the truck in tdc and slap it in there, not knowing where not using any tool I will start there.

If it started good and ran well for an hour... likely not the synchronizer. Unless its loose... clamp moved and allowed the synchronizer to jump out... etc...

Any no start or runs poorly or most drivability concerns... I always start with checking fuel pressure. It's simply the easiest thing to check. Also... it may not tell you what the problem is... but it will tell you what it isn't.

Then... again IMHO... I test for spark.

Quick update, so i changed fuel filter, new fuel pump and i still have the same issue, if i press the gas the truck holds a lil revs but dies eventually, im so desesperated to get things fiz any sugestions? Clogged injectores? If it was truck would start hold and miss fire? Please somebody with a sugestion? Its my daily i been uber to work everyday for 20miles

long shot & cheap test:

since the ignition system is a waste spark, if the cam sync is 180 degrees out the spark would still happen at the right time.
HOWEVER, that cam signal also triggers the injector pulses. those being 180 out would probably affect performance.
IMHO it's worth a check.

how's the fuel pressure?

Well i bought a new fuel pump put it on everything still nothing man 200$ and fuel filter i put new headgaskets and new push rods i follow the sync with the timing belt for the pushrods, i did the synchronizer with 38 degrees and with special tool, what else? Its like i dont get fuel i start the truck give it gas and she holds and dies, after head gasket i toom it for a spin worked fine gave it like gas and all my issues start to happen, she stall never run again, starts for a mili second, if i press the gas she holds until dies

we can only give you advice based on the information you provide.
please, what is the fuel pressure?
you can leave the gauge attached while the engine is running.

my 2000 3.0 could idle with as little as 25 psi, no power, but it would idle.
normal is 60-65 psi.

Problem is engine doesnt run, sir. Stars and dies imediatly, wouldnt a new full pump fix the issue if was low fuel pressure?
