2002 ranger transmission question

good afternoon all i hope someone can sure help me.

I have a 2002 ranger edge 4x4 with a 3.0l automatic. the problem is i just lost reverse at 210,000 miles. so therefore i need to replace or rebuild this trans asap as this is my primarry vehicle. now i have a 1997 exploer with a 4.0l sohc automatic trans. the motor is bad but the trans good. can i put this trans in my ranger? any help would be great.

In short, no. You need a trans from another 3.0 truck.
