2002 ecu location?

I am purchasing a jet chip for my 02 ranger and I need to know where the ecu is located on the truck. I found a computer in the firewall near the top but Im not sure if its the right one. If it is...where does the chip plug-in?

i havent dealt with a Jet chip but dont they just plug in to the OBD plug in???

Yeah thats usually where they plug into, right between your legs at the bottom of the dash below the steering wheel.

Look under the hood dead center of the firewall. Should be a large compurter connector.

i think it has a 8 or 10 MM bolt holding the harness on

i found that, its a sealed box with a big wire loom on the front with a plastic cover on it. is it under that? Anyone have any pics of what it looks like?
