2001 Ford Ranger engine swap

Kenny Bell might not make a kit for explorer FEAD, but there was a thread a short time back about a lot that does. Made to use a factory m112, work with the ex fead, and can accommodate an intercooler.

Ended up doing a leak-down test on the engine. Found it leaking from almost every valve and rings. Engine oil looked like diesel, burnt plug wire, plug gap ranging from .076 to .090. Looks like a full rebuild.

I pulled the cylinder heads. I ended up finding the block is cracked in 2 places. I have no idea how this thing ran. The heads look fine, though I am going to have them cleaned and checked. Looks like I’m now looking an engine block.
