Alright here we go boys and girls, my official "build" thread for my new 2001 Mazda B4000 SE 4x4 automatic.
So I picked this up just before christmas this year, it's my first truck and I'm loving it (REALLY hoping McDonalds doesn't sue for that) and the answer is yes I am constipated over how cheesy that McDonalds comment was. This thing has absolutely nothing for rust, just your usual surface rust on the bed rails and that will be fixed when I do my spray in liner. The truck only had 143500KM on it when I bought it so she's got lots of life left in her. The truck has a ton of upgrades from the previous owner who was a suspension specialist and owned it from new.

- Hella 500 black driving lights
- Airaid intake (Stock intake tube)
- Tint
- Westin side steps
- Advanced covers quad fold tonneau cover
- Stainless steel duel exhaust
- Stock rims have been powder coated black with the centre caps staying chrome (Really sharp looking)

I was more than a little surprised that the only thing he didn't upgrade was the suspension! I have a plan to use this truck as my daily driver and shuttle rig. If your wondering what I mean by shuttle rig I ride semi pro street and park mountain bike. My upgrades for the truck so far include,

- JVC Deck
- 31" Goodyear Wrangler Territorys

When I got the truck all the lights had these cool looking but useless blue bulbs in pretty much every white light on it, so I replaced them with GE Nighthawk platinum bulbs all around. The headlights were yellowed and shitty looking so I polished up the passenger side but got a new headlight for the driver side as it was filled with water. I sold the tonneau cover because as much as I liked it, it really was a pain in the ass. Because I live in Canada we get this thing called winter (most of the time at least, apparently this year it didn't get the memo) and I have to put sand bags in my truck so I get traction, well with the sand bags in my bed I could only fit one bike under the tonneau with it closed. This really is a pain because the reason I wanted it was so I could shuttle mine and my friends $3000+ bikes without getting them dirty. I got $200 out of the sale of the tonneau and I found a sick deal on Kijiji for a black Deezee aluminium crossover single lid tool box, aside to everything else I have to put in the tool box I think I'm going to get a heavy duty tarp and some rope and basically make a sinch bag for the bikes to keep them out of the elements.

Heres some pictures of the truck just after I got it *please note that the truck has sand in the back so this is not how it normally sits*

Here's the upgrades Iv done since Iv gotten the truck.

New JVC deck, and yes that is a Police interceptor sticker and yes it came off a real cruiser I didn't puss out and buy it off eBay.

New 31" Goodyear wrangler territory tires.

I still plan on doing a few things to the truck including a spray in liner, yellow Hella fog light bulbs, levelling (torsion crank), possibly a 3" Performance Accessories body lift, and if I can find some in good shape at the local junk yard leather explorer seats. I will have new pics up as soon as I have the new tool box installed. Hope you enjoy, should be a decent little shuttle/hunting/daily driver rig.

cool truck dude, where are you in canada?

I'm going to assume somewhere near mont St Anne or BC?

Truck looks good man! What bike do you have? I sold my 09 giant reign last year and really wish I didn't. Now I.gotta save up for a new DH bike.

I'm in Ontario I wish I was in BC, I ride a 2011 24" Dobermann pinscher that I built up custom but I'm working on a new 2012 NS Capital build right now. Not enough hills here to warrant me buying the Transition TR250 I wish I had.

Got my truck leveled and the tool box in, I'm having issues with my mileage but I think it's a mixture of things so on my list to do is:
-Yellow fog light bulbs
-Fix rust spots on truck
-Spray in bed liner
-Fuel filter, MAF clean
-Tailgate cables
-Brakes
If the fuel filter and MAF clean don't fix my mileage issues I'm going to do a tune up. Pics soon if I can get time to wash it.

New picture, me messing around in the parking lot at work did this is 2WD. Defiantly felt a lot higher than it looks lol.

Thanks man I'm pretty stoked on it. Just a few more things to do
Brake job
Spray in liner
Yellow fog light bulbs
Fix small rust spots
And possible a body lift if I can find a good price on one and decide if I wanna do the work to install it.

Id be happy to help you on the body lift. Ive done 4 so far, and can usually with 2 other guys, knock one out in about 5-6 hours.

you'll need a propane torch and loc-tite plus a full socket set.

I still need to figure out if my suspensions shot or not truck seems to be riding low, fixing the suspension might give me the lift I want if not probably do a 3" body lift. What do you think 3" BL on 31" tires would look like or would it look awakward?

New 3" body lift installed, fixing the front bumper tomorrow.
