Alright here we go boys and girls, my official "build" thread for my new 2001 Mazda B4000 SE 4x4 automatic.
So I picked this up just before christmas this year, it's my first truck and I'm loving it (REALLY hoping McDonalds doesn't sue for that) and the answer is yes I am constipated over how cheesy that McDonalds comment was. This thing has absolutely nothing for rust, just your usual surface rust on the bed rails and that will be fixed when I do my spray in liner. The truck only had 143500KM on it when I bought it so she's got lots of life left in her. The truck has a ton of upgrades from the previous owner who was a suspension specialist and owned it from new.
- Hella 500 black driving lights
- Airaid intake (Stock intake tube)
- Tint
- Westin side steps
- Advanced covers quad fold tonneau cover
- Stainless steel duel exhaust
- Stock rims have been powder coated black with the centre caps staying chrome (Really sharp looking)
I was more than a little surprised that the only thing he didn't upgrade was the suspension! I have a plan to use this truck as my daily driver and shuttle rig. If your wondering what I mean by shuttle rig I ride semi pro street and park mountain bike. My upgrades for the truck so far include,
- JVC Deck
- 31" Goodyear Wrangler Territorys
When I got the truck all the lights had these cool looking but useless blue bulbs in pretty much every white light on it, so I replaced them with GE Nighthawk platinum bulbs all around. The headlights were yellowed and shitty looking so I polished up the passenger side but got a new headlight for the driver side as it was filled with water. I sold the tonneau cover because as much as I liked it, it really was a pain in the ass. Because I live in Canada we get this thing called winter (most of the time at least, apparently this year it didn't get the memo) and I have to put sand bags in my truck so I get traction, well with the sand bags in my bed I could only fit one bike under the tonneau with it closed. This really is a pain because the reason I wanted it was so I could shuttle mine and my friends $3000+ bikes without getting them dirty. I got $200 out of the sale of the tonneau and I found a sick deal on Kijiji for a black Deezee aluminium crossover single lid tool box, aside to everything else I have to put in the tool box I think I'm going to get a heavy duty tarp and some rope and basically make a sinch bag for the bikes to keep them out of the elements.
Heres some pictures of the truck just after I got it *please note that the truck has sand in the back so this is not how it normally sits*

Here's the upgrades Iv done since Iv gotten the truck.
New JVC deck, and yes that is a Police interceptor sticker and yes it came off a real cruiser I didn't puss out and buy it off eBay.

New 31" Goodyear wrangler territory tires.

Black aluminium Deezee crossover single lid toolbox.

I still plan on doing a few things to the truck including a spray in liner, yellow Hella fog light bulbs, levelling (torsion crank), possibly a 3" Performance Accessories body lift, and if I can find some in good shape at the local junk yard leather explorer seats. I will have new pics up as soon as I have the new tool box installed. Hope you enjoy, should be a decent little shuttle/hunting/daily driver rig.
