I known where the sensor is, but is replacing it as simple as unplugging the electrical connector, removing the 2 bolts, and installing the new one? Not many videos or how-to write ups out there, so I figured it may be just that simple. I saw a TRQ video for a 2.5 and he used the harmonic balancer pulley and brought the engine to TDC and I didn't think all of that was needed......Thanks, Jon

You are replacing the crankshaft sensor? Or the crankshaft itself? Sounds like the sensor.

I looked it up, seems pretty simple.

Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery, Mounting and Cables.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Jacking and Lifting.
  1. Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.

Yes, just the crankshaft position sensor. I asked because after looking all over the internet for 30 minutes, nothing seemed apparent. When I saw the procedure to set the 2.5 at TDC for replacement, it had me concerned. Thank you
