Hello, I'm new here, so bare with me. I have a 2000 for ranger, I was told that the 4WD control module is located in the dash, could someone please tell me exactly where in the dash it is located?

Welcome, The module is under the dash, just the the left side of the glove box opening. If you push in stop tabs on the glove box you will be able the swing the glove box down so that you can get to the 4X4 module.

If that don't work I've had 3 transfer case motor go bad. The magnet on the motor breaks an binds it up. Its under the truck on the back of the transfer case. It's 3 bolts ( i think ) and a wire plug. You'll have the cut the ground wire and put that back together. 30 min
