When I saw this Ranger, it had to be mine. So, I want to keep it like it is except the 3.0 can't be rebuilt. Two cylinders collapsed.
My question, who has the most reliable reman 3.0.
Thank you for the responses.

Oh man, i dont know but you could get inw for now from a junkyard.

My 3.0 has 225k and runs flawlessly so you should be good on a non-rebuilt junkyard engine from something with decent mileage that was rear ended or t-boned so you know the engine was good when it was hit

collapsed cylinders is a new one to me, can you add a few details?

I'm fluent in broken, blown, obliterated, and ka-put, but collapsed has me wondering. :dntknw:

The top and bottom of the cylinder walls mic an 1/8 in larger than the center.
Course i guess that means its broken, blown, obliterated and ka-put!

Just to be clear, are you saying the top of the bore is 1/8 of an _inch_ larger than in the middle? Or an eighth of something else? I'm just very curious, this wear pattern seems opposite from what you'd normally expect, and also extreme beyond belief!
