Hello all...

I have a 2000 Ranger 4.0 auto ext-cab...

the rpm's are at about 2000 when first started and calm down to about 1100-1200 after a couple minutes. They get down to the 800-900 rang after it is warmed up completely.

It also jumps from about 800-900 in park/neutral to about 1100-1200 in drive.

I changed the IAC and the PCV valve.. disconnected the -battery cable for 20 mins or so and started it back up but same thing.

Maybe this is normal and I am just forgetting what it was like when it was new.

Or could there be something else wrong?

thanks

Doesn't sound to out of order. But if you are checking stuff and cleaning up things check the EGR. If it is stuck open it will make it idle rough
