2000 ford 5r55e no forward or reverse

I just bought a 2000 ford explorer 4.0 4x4 it has the 5r55e in it and it won't go forward or reverse have any ideas and I know this is the ranger station but I'm at wits end with this thing any and all help is appreciated thanks in advanced!

Providing the fluid is full, does it feel like its in neutral in any gear but park?

Disconnect one of the trans cooler lines, stick in a bucket, and start engine. If the bucket doesn't start filling up it's time to pull the trans.

Thanks for the fast responses guy! The fluid is full, it does feel like its in neutral in any gear but park an park holds on a hill I will check the trans cooler lines as soon as the weather lets up we got hit with a nasty snow storm last night thanks for the responses guy!
