I have a cracked left bank head on my 2000 3.0 Flex Ranger XLT Auto trans
I know that the shape and volume of the the Ethanol/Gas head is different than the gas only version.

I have wondered if the Flex fuel heads can be replaced with Gas only Heads?:icon_pepsi:

It doesn't really matter which head you use. The flex fuel magic all happens in the injectors, PCM, and fuel system.

Except the heads should match!

The heads are identical I have an 02 xlt 2wd 3.0 auto and my truck sank three exhaust valves due to bad cats and I had a 2000 3.0 engine I had those heads sent out and rebuilt the only difference between the two were the bee hive springs on the 02 just make sure you keep the bee hive rocker arms with the bee hive springs and the conventional rocker arms with the conventional springs every thing else is the same
