I have a 2000 explorer witha a 4.0 sohc motor. It doesn't leak oil or radiator fluid but it uses about a quart every 1 to 2000 miles and uses radiator fluid. any suggestions besides trading it. Also when you first crank it it rattles like a diesel and I am sure it is the timming chain and I have been told not to attemp to put one on myself. Any suggestions. Thanks Shanezoid.

is that a 4wd? sounds like its dying, you should give it to me.

how much coolant is it going through?

any oil in the water or water in the oil (would look like a crap milkshake on the dip stick)

is it paid for? you could drop another crappy rear timing chain pos engine like you already have or swap a V8 into it.

I can't find oil or antifreeze anywhere that is what has me puzzled. Thanks.
