Hi All

2000 Ford Explorer.
Where can I find the combination for the door locks?
Is it located anywhere in the truck or do I have to go to a locksmith?

Thanks
Bill

Are you talking about the keyless push button entry? If so I have heard that it is sometimes written on the inside of the "C" pillar trim from the factory. Sometimes......

It's written on the keyless entry brain. In my Lincolns, that was always in the trunk up under the package tray. On your explorer, I do not know where that is. I bet it's behind a panel in the rear area.

Take the cover off the left rear side panel. You should see your jack and tools.

If you look forward behind the panel there, you will see a module with a harness plugged into the back of it.

The code is in big bold numbers on the outside of it, facing the interior side of the truck. It'll be 5 digits.

You might be able to pull the panel out and read it. If not, get a small dentist's/ mechanic's mirror and a flashlight.

Put the code in the door to unlock the driver's door only, then you can push 3 to unlock all doors. Pushing the last 2 buttons will lock all doors.
