My son passed away a couple years ago and left me a 2000 mazda b-3000 3.0L 4x4 that he was driving up until the week before he passed away.I checked the fuel pressure and the pumup was bad, replaced it and it started and ran great, drove it about 5 miles and parked it.
well about 2 weeks later i went to start it and it want start, has good fuel pressure,56psi and spark because you can shoot starting fluid and it tries to run on the starting fluid.
But with out starting fluid nothing, could it be the pcm?any help is appreciated,,thanks wayne

update: bad spark plugs,at least .120" gap

update: I checked the injectors with my stethascope and they are clicking fine.So out of curosity i pulled #1 plug and the eletrode was about gone,at least .120" gap so i pulled the rest and that was the good one, apparently when i changed the fuel pump and got it running it ran long enough to splash foul the plugs that were mile's beyound worn out and it would'nt start. Also the fuel had been in there about 10 months so i drained and put in a couple gallons of of fresh fuel and finally got it started, now it wont idle below 2000 rpm's so i'm guessing "iac" valve? ,,waynebo

update: pulled the "IAC" off today and plugged the port that feeds bypass air to the back side of the throttle valve with a paper towel and it idled perfect,so found a borg warner made in the u.s.a iac valve at o'rielly's for $56.00 with a 12 month warranty. Most others had off the wall brands with 90 day warranty, anyway it idles great now.
Still gotta put the bed back on from where i took it off to replace the fuel pump, then on to why gauges don't work and the 4x4 doesn't work and both hi&lo 4x4 flashes when started,,just keep chipp'in away and will get my boy's old truck straightened out,,, waynebo
