Well you need to get a new bleeder screw.
It didn't fall into the transmission, it is in the bell housing and if you can't get it out by removing inspection cover on the bottom then don't worry about it, just replace bleeder with new one

Is reservoir full?

Remove reservoir cap and the rubber insert inside reservoir, fill it at least 1/2 way.
When you push down on clutch pedal have someone watch level in reservoir, if it goes up Master's check valve is bad, you will need to replace Master/reservoir.

Master has a check valve that allows fluid to flow from reservoir into the system, for bleeding and to replace fluid should there be a leak.
When you press down on the clutch pedal the check valve should close so fluid flows only to the slave, it then expands, pushing against pressure plate and releases clutch disc, this is the pressure/resistance you feel when pushing down the clutch pedal.

If fluid flows into reservoir the check valve is open and pedal would have no pressure, no resistance.
But would have the same feeling if system has no fluid in it as well.

Thanks Ron. I will give your info a try & let you know how I made out.

If you feel normal clutch pedal resistance, but the clutch does not seem to be releasing and you can't get the transmission into gear with the engine running, try putting the shift lever into gear, depress the clutch pedal, and start the engine.
You could have a clutch disk that has attached to the flywheel or pressure plate. Sometimes condensation will make one or both surfaces rust a bit, and hang onto the clutch disk. It seems the clutch is not working, but it actually is releasing. There's enough 'sticky' to the disk that it will spin the gears in the transmission and prevent selecting a gear. Start in gear, and you'll hear a slight 'bang' as the clutch disk breaks free. It will then likely work fine until the next time it has sat for a while with rain or condensation, and it may re-cur. Had it happen with less than 4k miles on the truck, but figured it out and have known the 'fix' since.

WARNING: If you try to start in gear, MAKE SURE IT IS CLEAR in case the clutch does not release.
WARNING do at your own risk, more or less.

The bleeder screw is probably sitting on the floor of the bell housing and shouldn't be an issue...not like it got into the transmission fluid reservoir or anything...it will fall out eventually...
