What do I have to do to get front abs on my truck...??? thanks in advance

get a module from and ranger or explorer with 4wheel abs, wiring diagrams, and the front knuckles from a 95+ explorer 98+ ranger with the abs sensor in it.

then you gotta plumb your btake lines into the module, alot of work and im not sure what else you need

i would look at the wiring diagrams from the donor to your ranger(autozone might have them)

any reason why a 95 to 98? does it have to have 2wd drive or doesn't matter?

Anyone know if the 2.3 only comes with two wheel abs?

One question, why do you want 4-wheel abs? it isnt that great, at least in my opinion, sometimes i slide farther if i would have been able to lock them up.

well i actually realized I have four wheel abs, but if anything I would want it on the front, i thought I only had it on the rear..

Why would you "if anything" want it on the front?... It works the best to have it in the rear because of skid control.

In a pickup, without RABS (like mine) the back end likes to lock up and goes wherever it wants

In a Pickup, With RABS (Like mine is supposed to be) The RABS system will only dumb the rear brakes down to level with the fronts.

In a Pickup, With FWABS (like yours) It is somewhat pointless, although it is useful for traction control....

those big discs in the front do alot of the braking, I want those bad boys to have the abs..

You read the previous post wrong. he said "95-up explorer or 98-up ranger".

Earlier vehicles used a completely different suspension system, but that would imply h was talking about a 4x4.

Your vehicle is a 2wd and thus only an aBS equipped 1998-03 ranger will work as a suitable donor.

Frankly I'll recommend that if you really want 4w-ABS that you trade your truck in on one that has ABS on all four wheels.

Converting is "possible" but hardly practical.
