1.so the long plastic tube that runs from top of the intake box to the throttle body that has the maf in it well on my truck it has a rubber seal to help it sit on the throtle body and filter box. well one is shot it basicaly melted over the years and i was wanting to know if removing the one would affect any thing or do i need to replace it?

2. i am installing a sub and amp here soon in my truck. well i noticed i would have to replace the positive connector to the battery and it has 2 wires running into it but seperated. was wanting to know when i replace the connector is it ok if those 2 wires go into one terminal? or what are theose 2 wires exactly?

Without visually seeing it, I'd say your intake tube is part of your PCV valve or engine venting, so yeah, it's important. And your battery wires, you can join them together under one terminal...

If you have multiple terminals on your new battery connector, you can put each wire in separately. I believe one goes to the starter, the other goes to the underhood fuse box to feed the rest of the truck. As long as they're both attached to the positive post, they can be together or split apart, does not matter.

The tube is the intake tube. The rubber seals you refer to is needed. If you remove them you may get a "lean" condition. I also have a defective one but I've left mine on until I can locate another one because it still seals ok.
