2.9L to a 302

im getting a 302 motor from a buddy of mine an i was wonding if my 2.9l tranny will bolt up to the 302 an if not i was also wonding wat would be the best 4.0 motor to use an help would be appreciated

theres a few trans u can use

aod trans with aftermarket tail shaft houseing
c4 with aftermarket tail shaft houseing or 83-85 ford ranger c5 output housing

of you can go the way i went

stock 83-85 ford ranger c5 this trans had the rite out put housing on it but u do have to change the valve body and bellhousing by swaping on a c4 bell housing and valve body

No it wont. Also i would think the 302 would destroy a 2.9 tranny.
