My 2.9L is giving me some problems, i am thinking of doing a swap to a 4.0L.
I found a 92 ex donor for $300. I am going to look at tomorrow.
My concern is my MPG, with the rise of fuel cost i still want to be about to afford to drive.
I been searching around it seems every gets between 15 to 17 avg.
Is it going to be worth the switch?

Fuel mileage will vary on the over condition of that motor IMO. I mean...Look at our 2.9's. They don't do much better but I get a little over what they say you will on fueleconomy.gov.

With a light foot (yes it's possible in a 4.0 as opposed to the powerhouse 2.9 :D ), good tire pressure, etc, you'll be alright.

well as long is i dont get worse than my 2.9L. that little motor always seems to be good for what i needed. but you can do much with them and seems to be getting more expensive to rebuild.
i just notes i forgot to add 2.9L to 4.0L swap MPG
