Ok guys need a little help I want to purchase a new reman 2.9 for my 1990 ranger and I'm still lost on 8mm accessory bolts and 10mm how do I identify which motor I have. I'm looking at purchasing one through S&J engines

I was not aware of the different size bolts myself.

Pull a bolt from the old engine and measure it? Assuming it just means the bolts holding the accessories to the engine I'd either go for the cheaper one or 10mm and drill out accessories to fit depending on price difference.

If I remember correctly, the 8 and 10 bolts are only different to hold the cylinder heads. If you change the whole engine, it doesn't matter, it will still work.
