I'm not running ac or a auto trans
so my question is , will the 2.9l radiator hold up behind the 90 4.0

I know the warmer you can run your engine the better fuel mileage you will get
I have the 2.9l radiator in now, but it has a pretty big leak in her so I'm always adding coolant, I'd like to get a new radiator or a junkyard replacement. Just would like to make the right purchase

I do live in mi, so having a truck that heats up quick is always nice
I haven't had any problem keeping it cool yet

Anybody still have the 2.9 rad, with the 4.0 that can share some input??

The single-core light-duty 4.0 radiator is basically the same as the 2.9 radiator. The only real difference is if you have an auto trans, the 4.0 version has a bigger tranny cooler in it.

In Michigan you will probably never ever have a problem running a 2.9 radiator with a 4.0.

I don't have a problem in Tennessee.
