2.9L plug following.

1988 ranger 2.9 4x4. New wires,plugs car&roter. #6 cylinder keeps fouling the plug.Exhaust smells like fuel.Cold start will rungreat for about 3 min,then the plug fouls! Help anf thanks for any suggestions. Injector maybe?

I'm thinking a compression check is in order.. If that cylinder is low, any other things you do won't work. So first find out if the compression is up to snuff.

Probably a valve, that same crap happened to me but alot worse.
 
Change that spark plug! It could been damaged when you installed it. It happened to me. It drove me nuts for awhile.
