HAHAHAHAHA is all i have to say. thats 50 dollars per horsepower. there are 10 billion better ways to go about achieving 50 pony's.
ie: 302 swap, 4 liter swap, or if you insist on keeping to 2.9, intake mods, new exhaust, regear, basic tunup would probably release that much or more, for about 1000 bux.

Anything from Tom Morana is worth the money. He is a brillant Ford v6 builder.

I was talking to Tom at the beginning of the summer about being a vendor here.

its a good deal IF:

-you dont want the hassle of all the modifying for an engine swap (lets face it, not everyone wants to go 4.0 or 5.0)
-your motor is close to needing a rebuild anyway
-you want your present motor to be a solid platform for future mods.
-you dare to be different

i think option 4 is the only legit option. noone wants the hassle of swappin engines, but for 2500 you could pay someone to swap a 4 or 5 liter in. and i can by a whole nother ranger for 2500, and make it faster than a "stroker 2.9" powered one

i have though long and hard about a motorswap and i really do not have the capability to do it and do it completely. nor do i have the patience to deal with that. i like to be driving it not looking at it haha. the motor work would be done by a shop, and yes my motor is getting tired. what do you all think it would cost for a shop to do it? our labor hours here in northern va are around 110 an hour?

i know a guy who last year paid a shop 1000 bux to put a 305 in his jeep. so i'd expect to pay 2 grand for parts and labor on a 302 ranger swap, or around 15-1800 for a 4.0 swap.
