HAHAHAHAHA is all i have to say. thats 50 dollars per horsepower. there are 10 billion better ways to go about achieving 50 pony's.is it worth the 2500 hes asking for this kit? hes located in canada and it says around 50hp gain? yay or nay?
its a good deal IF:
-you dont want the hassle of all the modifying for an engine swap (lets face it, not everyone wants to go 4.0 or 5.0)
-your motor is close to needing a rebuild anyway
-you want your present motor to be a solid platform for future mods.
-you dare to be different
i know a guy who last year paid a shop 1000 bux to put a 305 in his jeep. so i'd expect to pay 2 grand for parts and labor on a 302 ranger swap, or around 15-1800 for a 4.0 swap.i have though long and hard about a motorswap and i really do not have the capability to do it and do it completely. nor do i have the patience to deal with that. i like to be driving it not looking at it haha. the motor work would be done by a shop, and yes my motor is getting tired. what do you all think it would cost for a shop to do it? our labor hours here in northern va are around 110 an hour?
