Looking for a working 2.9L ECM for an '86.

Computer: E6TF-12A650-C2B

Will pay shipping

Auto or manual?

I may have my 87 ECM kicking around still. But mines a manual.

Ill see if i can hunt it down. I got 2 87 ECMs floating around and 1 is 100% good tbe other has a failed fuel pump circuit. Ill see if i can remember which is which.

Okay, thanks for checking. I did message PJ and he hasn't replied so I dont think he has one either
He maybe just busy. He'll get back to you.

Yeah, I couldn't find any listing for a C2B, only a C2D (CD). I found a couple sites that showed they were compatible with each other, but every auto parts seller I checked (Rock Auto, Autozone, Advance, NAPA) only mentioned C2D or CD, and not once did I find a C2B. Kind of odd.

The ECM I have came out of my '86 Ranger 2WD, manual, with Federal emissions. It worked when I pulled it, but it's been in a box for 13 years. If you want to try it, it's yours.

Hm. Let me look. I know I have an 8DT (federal emissions, manual, no egr) that needs capacitors replaced. Possible to use if you have the pinout diagram. 60 pin connectors come apart easily and it's fairly simple to move pins around.

Worst case, microsquirt it and use my tunes that are in the tech section. You'll pay roughly the same for a microsquirt vs a reman ECM

Only ones I have right now are an assumed good C9B (1992 manual trans, auto hubs and t case) , and a 8DT (1988 manual everything) that needs capacitors.

You can run the 92 if you eliminate the EGR. Thats what i would do.
