2.9 upgrades

is there anything you can do to get more hp out of this motor with out plaining the heads and valves. I know you can put headers on it and an electric fan. what else. and can you have the computer reflashed for these mods

Some people have pieced together a cold air intake, but that's debatable and their are lots of threads about them. There are some cams available...
If you go in to the tech library and read the two pages about the 2.9 and 2.9 kuntz korner, they mention a few things.
And I actually bought a gforce chip a coupla guys on here recommended, have had a chance to put in yet though. And I know there's a couple of other chips available...
