2.9 tranny on a 2.3

I have a manual tranny and transfer case out of my '88 Bronco II, It has a removable, bell housing.
I have a '95 Ranger that I want to put it in. Is there a 2.0 or 2.3 that had a removable bell housing that will fit this tranny, so I can do the swap?
