Some help would be appreciated im going to look at this motor tonight so i need to know if my transmission would work or not.

Sorry for the triple post but also wondering how hard would it be to put the 00' explorer motor in the 88 ranger? I know its easy with the early 90's models but i dont know about the newer ones...:icon_confused:

Is that SOHC or OHV? I'd stay away from anything OBD II (1995ish+) as it will only make things much more complicated. What I did is look for a 4.0 as close to my vehicle year as possible to make wiring easier. Good luck mang.
