i'm about to put the b2 under the knife again. getting cut and turned beams, 8.8 locked in the rear. and a 4.0 up front. what kind of weight difference should i expect? is it enough to need to rethink my spring rates?

I put a 4.0 and a winch in my 86 didn't really notice a difference but I had explorer springs in it.I have 4" skyjackers in it now they work real well I think but you take the time to hook up the sway bar when you get back to the highway.Hope somebody comes up with the numbers i'd like to hear them.

my main goal is flex, haven't ran a sway bar in years! and i don't plan too!

but i'm still curious for my suspension setup

There is no difference. The 4.0 might have a couple of pounds of extra webbing in the block, but the accessories on my 2.9 where held together with steel brackets and the 4.0 has aluminum castings. I wouldn't be surprised if the installed 2.9 were heavier.
