Hi i'm a ford tech and new to this site. But im on many others forums...But anyways I just bought a 2.9 89 ranger that was swapped to a 4.0 before I bought it..The guy said he wasnt able to get it to stay running..Well now i've got it...lol
And i'm not sure why yet, but the truck will only have power to the red w/green tracer(@eec power relay) in start only..Once its in run it loses power on that wire..The guy I bought it from said he swapped the harnesses but I think he didn't swap them all..I have tried to researh this as much as I can and still am!! I put power to the red w/green tracer wire to see what happens and it will run..but the starter stays on until you pull the s terminal wire off the starter relay..If anyone has ran into this or can shed some light on my situation that would be great thanks....Nuru
