2.9 running to rich ?

will not idle changed the plugs, cap, rotor , and check the wire all good but still runing too rich but why ?? any help plz or i might have to put rag in the gas tank lite it up lol

Mine had a bad fuel pressure regulator and also someone had removed the solenoid for the fuel vapor cannister and hooked the line right to the throttle body. I had the fuel pressure checked and it showed fine.....but still ran rich. I checked the fuel pressure with my cousins tester and it showed bad,it was one of those problems that was fine when someone else checked it. Part of my idle problem was also a bad IAC valve that only messed up here and there....when I whacked it with a screwdriver handle it would die or almost die. Running rich can also be bad ground wires...there are several. If you can afford it have it diagnosed on a computer tester not a code checker,I did and saved time and money not replacing things that wasn't bad.

just give it to me ill fix it lol
it wouldn't have any axles or a trans when you get it back but it will run

well i change the fuel press reg. and it still run rich but i change the map sen. and now i have no fuel . the pump in the tank not workin i think its a ground prob. ps i did put the old map back on and still no pump ps john u give me

i need a fuel pump that is why i am not gettin any fuel now and the fuel pump is only 2 months old need less to say if i had a stick of tnt i would have nice bonfire

Did you test the pump to make sure it doesnt work?

I'd suspect a wire connection issue, relay or inertia switch first....

i have no inertia switch i rip that out 3 years ago 2nd i have power at the plug and good ground so it has to be the pump rite

order tank and new pump now all i have to do is get the gas out of the tank

will i got the tank and the pump went to put the pump in the tank and guess what it is the wrong one advance auto order the wrong one. but they went to a difrent advance and got me one so this pos is getting alittle closer to the scrap yard

put in the new tank and fuel pump and it runs but still to rich change the o2 sensor but still no luck i think it is a f--k up wire mybe
