2.9 problem

ok ive been workin on my bronco for some time now and it wnt stop flooding its self so i figured it was the map sensor and that didnt help and then i put a new o2 sensor on and didnt help and the fuel pressure is at 35 to 40 so maybe some one can help me.thanks kyle

Since you have an '87, there's nothing to indicate that the computer is seeing an issue. You might first pull codes to help narrow down what's out of whack.

You're issue could be related to the EGR system, vacuum leak, etc. Overall how does it run? We will need more info since you're problem could be caused by several things.

You might also check the condition of the vaccum line to the MAP (really all of them, if it looks like crap, replace it), once the vaccum drops (vacuum drops at wide open throttle), the MAP sensor causes the system to run rich.

all hoses seem to be in very good shape and it wont idle you have to give it gas to keep it running and when u just snap the throttle it comes out of it but when it planes out its starts the flooding issue again.and the tach also acts weird it jumps around.

now it wnt start it is getting fire and fuel pressure but the injectors wnt fire

If the tach jumps around I'd check the coil.

I had a similar problem with my Mustang. It ended up being the fuel pump :-/
