I replaced my fuel pump, I have fuel to the fuel rail, but no fuel is going into the throttle body, when I put gas into the intake it starts right up. It will run until the fuel runs out and then stop. When I replace the fuel pump it ran for a trip to the store, then turned it off and tried to start again, and just died, what should I ck next?

No fuel to the throttle body on a 2.9 sounds normal to me, seeing as how it has ported fuel injection, not throttle body injection.

Do you actually have pressurized fuel at the fuel rail shrader valve, or just fuel? Check your connections with the plug at the sending unit. Did you replace the entire sending unit, or just the pump? If just the pump, check your wire splice from pump to sending unit...

Had a friend hook up his pos+ and neg- backwards so the pump ran back wards, it was the in tank pump and to figure it out we pulled the line going to the fuel filter from the pump and held it in a gas cab and turned the key and got no gas but could hear the pump running. He cut and switched the wires going to the connector with out dropping the tank again to fix it the cheap way, but not really the right way :-P

clogged fuel line!

my b2 did that twice. i had to disconnect fuel line from tank to pump and pump to motor. blew em out both directions with air pressure.

years or buildup made it clog.

mine is just a toy so i cut a hole in bed above tank to make troubleshooting easier!. now i just pull the duct tape and plastic to get to it.

I would cut a hole, dress it, and recover it with a fabbed up and painted plate that glues down, Mercedes uses a metal plate, 3-4 screws and some butyl seal/dumdum, good enough for them, good enough for me.
