I went to the junk yard on lunch. 27 Rangers (From 88-03) and not a single one had a 2.9L in it haha. Most of the Rangers were 93+. Go figure. 90% of them are 3.0s. However, there are tons of 4.0 Explorers there. Their IAC looks very similar. But the autozone part numbers are different. I might pick one up tomorrow and see what happens. I couldnt grab it today because i only had an 8mm socket. The 4.0s have a 10mm head.
The other junk yard has a lot more 88-92 Rangers. Will grab one of those on Saturday morning if the 4.0 one doesnt work.
