2.9 heads & intake on a 4.0 block?

I have a lot of money in my haeds & intake. But it seems to keep breaking the bottomend. Can I put this on a 4.0 block? No 4.0 swap just the block & my 2.9 top end. Any info would be nice thank you

No, it will not work, 4.0 has a higher deck height, so the intake wouldn't fit. Not sure what the differences in the heads are though, haven't compared them.

the water passages on the heads were different. one of them has horizontal passages and the other has vertical passage. cant remember which one is which.

it might be possible to kind of "blend" them to match but... i am sure that part of the passages to line up a little bit
