2.8L engine rebuild and wiring harness project

You get a full build sheet with all the specs, cylinder pressures, etc. Like I said, very professional.

If possible, could you post a photo of the engine? Id like to see how it looks and such. Also, PM me if you hear when they start building them. Since Ill have to save a good chunk of change for this engine!
Ya sure

Unless you know of a way to get a 2.9, 3.0, 4.0 engine to run without the computer BS and just the duraspark and a 2 barrel carb. (I hate ECUs and computer stuff) Since I can get a 3.0 or 4.0 engine on rock auto cheap but idk about in air and spark part.

I have been thinking about this a lot. A internet search brought up a lot of people what want to do it, and a lot of speculation, but apparently no one has really done it yet, except possibly over in England with some very expensive parts.

The first obstacle seems to be the distributor, and getting rid of the original TFI distributor. I may have found a solution to this, but it's not cheap either. The TFI will drive this MSD box, and you can program in your advance curve. Granted it's electronic, but it would be a easy way to make a stand alone setup to get ready for a carb.

Make sure if you do your Comp cam, you will want to change the valve springs and the pushrods. This will keep you from floating valves at higher rpms.

You can check out my build. Most machine shops can rebuild these engine pretty easy and you would gain a relationship with your local machine shop. There is only one weird thing about this engine is the cam bearing will be pressed in blind and you must line up the galley holes with the cam bearing or you will have valve-train lockup due to oil starvation. I tried to buy some parts from Team Blitz with mixed results on communication and availability.
