I have a 2.9 that needs replacing. Found a 2.8 carb motor. Will the 2.9 FI system fit on the 2.8?

no....you can adapt it.....but not a bolt on.

a 4.0 ohv may be easier to locate with lower miles then a 2.9....a worthy swap too imo
