2.8 to 2.3 turbo

I was wondering if there was a 2.3 turbo engine that could bolt up to a manual 4 speed transmission from a 1983 2wd short bed

Or if you guys know of any other engines that would bolt up to the transmission that would be great.

Well, I know that a 4.OH! bolts right in.... LOTS of fun.... as for the 2.3, You need at least the bell housing for a 2.3, then you have to make sure of spline match on the clutch plate, input shaft "stickout", things like that.

I have put a 2.8 in front a tk4 that originally had a 2.3 in front of it. You will need to do a bell housing swap but it's advised to use an m5od trans with a 2.3t. A tk4 will be a pile of scrap.
