I had a motor like that in my b2 ran it on pane
built it real nice with all those goodies
it dynotuned at 165hp
sold the motor to someone off
craigs list about 2 mo ago for $1000

Not worth it, its a heluva lot safer to rebuild your own engine, and know whats in it.
Start from a junker engine, cheap and affordable, then work on it.

If you can get him to lower the price to, lets say, 400? then take it.

Some Tips On Talking To The Seller:

1. NEVER ask how much they want for it
2. Tell the seller you want it for about 3/4 of what you can actually pay for that item
3. When/If he declines that offer, Tell him what you actually have
4. His decision to sell that item will depend on those manuevers.

bigdog, that is a nice looking motor. when you built it up what cam did you use? grind? stock? what year is the block/heads? did you go full MSD ignition? or just the coil? (looks like MSD please correct if wrong) what pipes you running on that? I am currently in process of building a 2.8 for a car.

Got the moter out of a 84 b2 bored .30 over 10.1 high compresion
ballenced and blueprinted this thing was smoth and a monster
custum ground cam msd offroad box and coil mallory distributor
offy 4bbl intake eddelbrock headers port/polished heads/intake
