2.8 Blow by Help???

It is more than fixable, a rebuild is the cure.

The vacuum tree thing is a neat idea, mine has the exact same problem. But it is parked for the winter anyway (road salt) and I have a 302 ready and waiting to go in as soon as it is tolerable to work outside again.

Well, then anything is fixable. But I didn't get the impression that the OP was looking for an involved repair. Blowby = bad engine. Period.

When was the last time your brakes got a good looking at I.E. bled, complete fluid change, etc.....

I had blow by problems awhile back too, oil kept comming out my dipstick, so I put a PCV for a ford 400 on her and it stopped instantly and has been working great since.

I bleed brakes when I replace pads, it's good now just gotta figure out why my brakes are spongy and adjust the idle. I replaced the vacuum hose to the brake booster cause I heard a hissing in that area and that is the only hose I didn't replace. Still no improvement, it feels like a vacuum problem?

My dads brakes are the same way. He replaced everything shortly after his master cylinder went out and they have never felt the same since. Could have a brake booster going out?

Actually it's doing a lot better now, it's just diverting to oil to somewhere else now and it's puddling up some where. Better that blowing all over the motor. It's using less oil now too! Awesome, I just have to teak it a little. It's defiantly got more power now!

don't adjust the idle yet... If it is higher you may have a vac leak. I would double check your new T-fitting

Hehe I had a crappy LTD with a 3.8L in it and that thing had blow by like this - got so bad I ran a hose to the rear of the car. It blew every seal in the motor the blow by was so bad.

Actually the vacuum was blocked off in a lot of places and I spent quite a bit of time fixing it. I think they adjusted the idle to compensate for all the leaks they had and now that it's fixed it needs to be idled down. I did adjust already and it's running about 200 rpms lower and idles great.
