I know there is another post about adding bigger injectors, I want to add NEW injectors but avoid the high cost of stock ones!

As an eg. you can get injectors for the 4.0L motor, same year and such, for about $20 bucks less per injector! On Ebay, you can find sets of 8 injectors for less than 4 stock injectors, I could do both trucks for less than Original!

Does anybody have any knowledge of what body sizes they are (if there is such a thing) or which other injectors would fit right in?

Stock 2.5L are 14# but you can use upto 19# without effecting the idle or anything else since the Computer will compensate, going to 24# will start to effect the Idle somewhat but are still usable. BUT! what Injectors will FIT in the same place properly??

Any help would be Really nice!

Maybe you're not looking in the right places. At Rock Auto the 2.5 injectors are essentially the same price as the 4.0 injectors (within a couple of bucks). $50 for motorcraft new, $30 for a reman.

Well I have a set of 60 pound injectors in my 2.5. So I would venture a guess and say almost all injectors have the same length and use the same size o-rings.

Thanks to all those that have posted inciteful inforation to this question in this post and others! to those that simply have 'An Opinion' nobody was asking for that! we are looking for FACTUAL information, not what you might consider as important no matter how far off topic!

I have spoken to a few reps, dealers, techs, Etc. What I have found out is there isn't a guide that lists the various Injector sizes, but I have found out that although an injector might get fouled, they are virtually bullet proof! If they Ohm out right just clean them and they will rarely be the cause of the problem.

As for Rough Idle, one cause, or contributing cause, is the Wires. they can lay side by side, but not lay crosswise or they will interfer with each others signal. In MY CASE, not saying it will fix everyones problem, it did help out a Lot!

Good luck guys! There is a lot of information available here, you just gotta keep digging!
