First, yes I checked in the Tech folder and the book.
We pulled the (auto) trans from my daughter's 2000 the other day and found rusty water/coolant residue in the bellhousing and on the torque converter.
I found this in the Tech folder:
Core (freeze) plugs
Cyl head and the block pass. side are 1.500" (NAPA pn 219-3133)
Cyl block rear is 2.060"
My question is whether the "Cyl block rear" is truly at the back of the motor?
Maybe behind the flexplate?
How many?
I haven't looked myself because I'm relying on buddies to wrench for me (I'm recovering from 12 broken ribs, 9 fractured vertibrae and an AC separation) and figure this would be a good time to replace them while the trans is out.
Thanks in advance!
