Hi I am new but I have owned two Rangers and I love them at this time I have a 2.5 4 banger that I was getting 29 mpg on the highway and 23-25 in the city but I had a radator crack and I did not know it So an overheat occured and after getting it home I found it had no compression on two cylinders so off came the head and cylinders 1 and 2 had bad rings BUT I can not belive how clean the inside of the engine is and no ring step that can be seen or felt I was compleatly suprised after all you would think after 234,000+ miles their would be more wear on the enigne I was not very timely on oil changes so suprise suprise. Also no build up on the valves. I am wondering if this normal or not normal? :shok:

Normal?

No, it doesn't sound like a likely event. That said, I've taken parts off cars I own/have owned as part of routine PM where other than the cosmetics, worked and was performing as intended. But with your mileage, is sounds unbelievable. Good for you!
