i see alot of people talking about the 2.5 rockwells and then their are some that are using 5 tons my question is what ones better im sure the 5 tons are but it seem like it their are more people who are dealing and making parts for the 2.5 im gathering stuff to build a BIGGER ranger and well im trying to find the best option for my truck as far as finding parts. the truck will be on either tractor tires are some skidder tires not sure what i want to run yet but im trying to get an input on this

If in doubt, go bigger.

The advantage I can see with my untrained eye, twice as strong. If your going to go all out, go all out, go 5 ton.

i dont know about the 5T but there is alot of after market for the 2.5T which usually makes it easier

yea that what im looking at here to see what one easier to get parts for and that why im leaning towards 2.5T

how much power you planning on running and what size tires....i am building a 650hp ranger with a 200 shot on top of that with 48/31/20 logger tires and i am running 2.5 tons one reason is the parts for them are available everywhere, they way a little less, and you could always upgrade axles in them and never ever hve an issue

Yea I Think My Options Are More Towards 2.5T But The Plan Is To Run A Mild Built 460. The Next Thing On my List Is To Figure Out A Suspensions Iv Seen Several But I Guess It What Each Person Wants To Run

ya what suspension you run all depends on what you will be using the truck for each design has its benefits

I'd go for the 10ton GradAll Forklift axles....those suckers are the bomb and will stand up to anything. But thats just what I'd do lol :icon_rofl:
