Anybody know what size the air intake tube is on a 99 2.5? Diameter, towards the air box side. I received a free round K&N filter at work, so I was hoping to make an adapter tube to make it fit. My Ranger is in storage about 45 mins away, so I don't really have an easy opportunity to go look and measure myself. Thanks in advance!

You need the diameter of the mass air flow sensor were it mounts to the air and need an adapter to mount the filter to the mass air flow sensor

My 96, which has a 98 2.5 is also off-site or I'd measure it for you. Mine has the K&N CAI setup on it and, although I haven't measured it exactly, appears to be using a 3" aluminum tube with an 90* elbow to turn it down toward the front of the truck...it could be slightly smaller or bigger but I won't know exactly until I visit the location...

I know it isn't 4" because I've done a few 4" dryer hoses...and I know it's bigger than 2.5" because my exhaust is 2" and this pipe was at least an inch larger...

Might be down there next week if you're not in a rush...
