2.3Lima 4wd - What Trans?

have built a couple of TurboFord 2.3s for fox bodies but am looking at picking up a cheap / clean ext cab 94 Ranger, which i'm considering throwing together another 2.3T for. Nothing over the top, just max out the T3 .60 with a front mount and call it a day.

Truck is currently 4wd which I'd like to retain, what trans can I use that mates to the 2.3 Lima & the transfer case?

A4LD is electronic OD is not a big limitation, i can take care of that with a Megasquirt output.

is the truck currently a 2.3? if so, the stock tranny will work, but if it's an A4LD, make SURE it's cooled well or it won't live long...

if you want a manual tranny, the M5OD is a good choice, any 2.3 4x4 from '88 on will have the tranny you want

currently a '99 3.0 4wd auto.

I'd rather just leave it auto, if all goes well I'll stuff a nice bar & plate transoil cooler up front and a fresh rebuild on the trans.

Looks like to go A4LD I'd need a 4.0 case & a 2.3 bell, otherwise bolt in and go (mounts, etc).

What are we using to tune EECV's?
