I have installed a 3" K&N cone and adapter on my 2.3l. What do I do with the vacuum lines (If thats what they are) that go into the top of the original air box? Can I plug them? Should I connect them?

Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks!

Those are for opening and closing the "door" that brings hot air up from your exhaust manifold. You can plug them and not cause any trouble, other than making your truck a little harder to start, warm up and run clean when it's cold.

Do I have any other options?

What other options do you want? If you don't plug the lines, you'll have a vacuum leak. You can use the vacuum for something else, but what would you need to do that for?

I don't know. I live in Michigan so it gets pretty cold. I guess i'll plug them and if i dont like it, i'll just put the box back in. Thank you for your help. Very much appreciated.
